Title:
Sr. Quality Engineer

Description:
- As a senior member of the team, lead the facilitation and compliance of ISO/TS16949 requirements throughout the organization.
- Plan and coordinate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new products and processes, access Failure Mode Effects Analysis theory and conduct Control Plan development.
-Facilitate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes, maintain ISO/TS16949 requirements, and ensure compliance of requirements by the company.
-Lead continuous improvement efforts utilizing the principles of Taguchi, Shainin and Ishikawa. Leverage problem solving methodologies to include Ford 8-D and GM 5-Phase to diagnose root cause issues and implement prevention activities supporting corrective action plans.
-Design variation reduction and process control plans, implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems for key processes, and conduct process potential and capability studies.
-Based on these studies, make recommendations to improve products and processes to meet customer satisfaction.
-Translate customer requirements into organizational and manufacturing processes, develop process flow diagrams, and identify the effects of potential failure modes.
-Facilitate the Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis system (PFMEA), identify potential failure modes, and implement improvement plans.
-Conduct measurement system analysis, review product design standards and specifications, and ensure product design requirements during the manufacturing process.
-Mentor and guide other engineering team members and provide technical expertise to make recommendations and resolve issues.
Qualifications:
Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree and a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/quality assurance experience
