Safety Leader Expands Product Penetration in Asia

Pune, India, August 16, 2017 – Key Safety Systems (KSS), a global leader in mobility safety headquartered in Michigan, USA, is pleased to announce it commenced production of steering wheels in its new manufacturing location in Pune, Maharastra, India.

KSS, along with its local JV Partner, is devoted to the mission of providing world class, lifesaving products domestically in India and abroad. The continued expansion of KSS-Abhishek requires the ability to deliver products meeting global standards locally.

The new facility specializes in leather wrapping and final assembly of highly contented steering wheels. It started production for multiple OEM customers since the second quarter of 2017 and reserves space for continued growth. By using state-of-the-art equipment and tightly controlled manufacturing processes, this new facility is a benchmark within the region.
